Comcast grew fat and happy in Maryland and forgot how to service customers some time back in the late 90's, since they were the only game in town since forever.

Then FiOS came, and Comcast still didn't get better locally. So, without further ado, I swapped one giant cable conglomerate for the other. My service is better, customer service is "meh", but not "gouge my eyes out" horrible like Comcast was.

Verizon screwed around with me during the strike sending workers who harassed me outside my apartment, then 3 other people who "showed up and I wasnt here"...meaning they didnt show up and just lied because I was sitting outside and would have known.

Optimum aka Cablevision gave us free hdr/dvr for a year, free starz, free encore @ $104/mo for the first year because of what Verizon did to us. Not too bad.
