Your court system is a little F'd up rightnow. These malpractice lawsuits are a lot of whats driving up the cost of healthcare. Going to the doctor is like playing the lottery. Hoping that they screw something up and you can get a huge payday.

which sucks balls... we have a specialist in the family and we know first hand how frustrating and stressful a lawsuit is... and a lot of times, it's not even the doctor's fault, it could be genetics playing a role, family history that the patient didn't know about, etc.. in the article's case, there must more to the story other than "surgeon found cancer in 60 year old man's penis so he amputated it during a circumcision surgery". Plus, if he had left it on the patient as is, the old man could still turn around later and say "well, I gave you permission to chop it off, you found cancer in it, why didn't you? so, now i'm suing you" LOL
