Patrick... First off, **** you.

Ok, now srs bsns - I don't really do a lot of photography work, but I'd like to have a nice-er camera than just your basic Digi cam. (I have a 12MP one nao, but don't really mess with all the crazy settings) And I don't have any abilities with PS. Is it worth it to buy a low end DSLR cam, or would it be a waste since I can't edit the pics properly?

if you want flexibility of all the different lenses out there, i'd get a canon rebel DSLR... if you aren't worried about that but just want a relatively small camera with excellent almost-DSLR image quality, check out the canon G10, G11, or G12... the S95 is supposed to be pretty good too. they have excellent image quality, even when printing images fairly large. if you aren't planning to print anything and don't want the lens options, i'd go with the advanced point and shoot. beyond that, if you have any more questions i'll be glad to help

I don't remember exactly what model of cam mine is... I'll have to go home and look at it for that. But it is pretty decent. I just wanna be able to take those super nice pics that the big cams take, but I wonder how much is the cam, and how much is the photo-editing later on...

I like this. So now Cwis can take nood photos of me without Patrick being the middle man. Good idea!

HKYStormFront 06-16-2011 02:53 PM

i'd put it like this: lens>camera>editing. that's the advantage of the big $$$ point and shoots, they have far superior lenses to the cheaper ones and that makes a lot of the difference. just let me know what you have and what you are looking at to upgrade to and we'll discuss :stirthepot:

Will do!

Oops...forgot about those. I think I took a few on my phone. I'll have to check tonight since I just transferred my pictures from my camera to my computer.
