Anyhow, I'd recommend an old compact pickup - versatility is unparalleled.

hehe. that's why i wanted to get the beetle :icon17:

the reason being it has to be parked outside and we all know the cool kids won't mess with the car (since guys don't like it).

originally, i wanted to get a base camaro but i changed my mind after thinking about the consequences.

Yeah if your going to get a Camaro it HAS to be an SS, the V6 is a chick car. Depending on the area i wouldn't leave a Nismo outside either.

yep but getting an SS would defeat the purpose of getting a daily driver because it would be as expensive as the nismo :)

in my commute, i see most people would drive a mini van or a toyota prius. i am pretty sure, i am more happy driving the beetle (esp. since i don't like to drive automatic trans. cars)

yeah but by definition, a daily driver is a car you don't care much about, so we are talking about getting an additional car that 'ain't worth sh--!!!!' :)

What about a Sentra Spec V?

that's a nice car. i sat in one at the dealer when i brought the z in for an oil change. i didn't go for it because i didn't want to buy two models from the same car manufacturer.

why not. if they make good cars...i have the Z and an '07 Frontier, both are great, in there own way.

it's just a personal preference. my brothers are like you. they would buy different models from the same car manufacturer. me, i prefer to buy from different car manufacturers. they like mercedes-benz and i had a mercedes-benz before i got the 370z. so when we had a family get together, our driveway would look like a mercedes-benz dealer lot :)

In my family, we have two maxima's, an altima, murano and my Z. The RX8 and ford conversion van are the odd one's out.

I just picked up an 03 honda cr-v for daily/winter driving. Its a complete POS but it should last me 100k+ miles without problems.

If I lived in a place that didnt suck and had snow for 5 months of the year my daily would probably be an older civic hatch.
