It was the same kind of thing with the early ipods. you could get a better device for cheaper that lasted longer, but still people only wanted ipods. Now its different b/c ipods are pretty much the best mainstream mp3 player for the money around.

First off that was hilarious... second.. the EVO's video recording is pretty bad.. its kinda slow sometimes, 4g does not have enough coverage for it to be useful, its HUGE in your pocket.. Multi touch is fail.. The apps are Fail.. i could go on.. Evo is a good phone but its still no iphone.

My cousin has the EVO and my brother picked up his pre order iphone last night.

Ya the iPhone def has more wifis lol.

I picked up my iPhone 4 up at Walgreens too.

The only thing that makes people flock to the ipad/iphone/ipod is their extremely simple to use user interface - but hey thats a pretty important feature. And once you get initial market momentum - people will always be there to jump on that bandwagon.

Good video, I actually cancelled the order on my iPhone4 yesterday. It was due to ship in mid-July. I'm going to wait until Apple addresses the antenna issue. I was at the AT&T store and was able to recreate the 4 bar drop with the display phone. Love the phone otherwise.

I can put both hands around the metal case and still can't get a bar to drop.

Ya I fisted a girl with iPhone in hand, and still had perfect reception. :stirthepot: no in all seriousness though, it sucks for the affected parties. I would be pissed off.

The video was hilarious, and sums up my roommate when it comes to not just Apple products, but anything he buys. Everything he gets is "thee" thing, in his eyes.

As for the iPhone 4 reception thing, I haven't noticed anything since I got mine yesterday, but AT&T is so unstable in Louisville, I'm used to dropped bars and can't tell if its the location, or this hand on phone issue.

The bad part is you have to pay a addition for the hot spot feature.

I was at the AT&T store yesterday looking at the phones (they were sold out) and there were two on display. I held each of them the way I've seen on the interwebz and one dropped from 5 bars to 2 and the other had no effect. Since the wife and I both have the 3GS we're fine waiting for a month or two to see if Apple makes any changes. If not we'll probably get the new 4 and there will be plenty available by then.

That's reassuring. Mine will be here in a few days, but I'm optimistic that I won't have any issues.

I took my case off and tried to get the signal to drop by holding it but it won't drop. :ugh2:

its really annoying hopefully the case i ordered fixes it. I still love the phone however. Apparently the iphone has better video and picture quality than the evo 4g even with lower mp.

Guys remember when it comes to cameras bigger mp's is not always better. All mp's are is a representation of picture real estate. You look for the camera with the best glass and or chipset now that things are digital. :tup: I'm still buying an iPhone 4 :D

When it comes to camera phones especially, MPs don't mean jack crap. You need a large sensor to actually use the MPs effectively. That's why DSLRs at 5MP look a lot better than compacts at 10MP; the have the biggest/best sensors to actually see the picture when they take it.
