The OP talked about a Discman I think - I remember Walkman's (still have one around here somewhere) - I remember buying my first CD player (since then I've converted back to vinyl) - I remember listening to Elvis Presley on an 8-track tape player in a car. I think of all the things I've seen in my brief time here and wonder what it will be like at the end of my life. My grandparents were born in the 1890's and lived almost 100 years - imagine the changes they saw - cars and planes came about, all the world wars, space travel, computers, holy friggin moly.
And yes, I remember the fear of a nuclear war - knowing what I know now about politicians though I'm not afraid of anything that involves government anymore except taxes. |

My first LP was KISS Destroyer and I played Detroit Rock City over and over again.
I brought my own popcorn (legally) to see opening of Star Wars. First movie I saw by myself was "The Warriors". and besides all that above, you know your getting older when you start going to alot of funerals. |

Uh... you could be in highschool, and a little girl could not know what a Sega Dreamcast is lol.
You know you're getting old when you talk about how awesome it is that Sonic 4 is going back to its roots and some punk says "Sonic was born on Nintendo systems and Sonic 4 should go to Sony and MS". |

Ba ha ha, Thats the ultimate "getting older" for skateboarders........ Getting hurt will put a real strain in my life plan. I always have little kids say "Can you jump that 12 stair!?" I say "yeah, but why? It hurts my knees and the benefit factor is minimal." The look of confusion on their faces after that is priceless.
