Hope your dog feels better. Sucks big time. I still can't get over the fact how easily their eyes pop out!

Poor pooch. One of my best friends owns a Japanese Chin, also a bug-eyed dog, also lost an eye. It's still healthy and active today, and every bit as friendly as before the accident. Good luck, frostpup!

Thanks everyone.
Here is another shot of the poor guy in his cone. Like I said, it's amazing how high his spirits are being everything he has been through. He's eating, trying to run, it's amazing. Dogs are incredible. |

Dogs rule. I don't care what some cat lovers say, just because dogs know more happiness doesn't mean they're stupid.
Sorry to hear about the accident, frost. I hope this doesn't keep his spirit down.

Sorry that your little buddy had to go through this Frost. If it's of any comfort, this whole thing is allot harder on you than it is on him. I used to breed and show AKC Registered Boxer dogs, and I learned just how tough and resilient dogs are. I can say with certainty that your little buddy will amaze you, as he already has, by continuing on, and enjoying life as much as he did before, and act like nothing happened to him. Dogs always see the best side of life. For example; if a dog had a Z, he'd just enjoy the heck out of it, and never wonder if some other car may be better than his Z.
The up-side of this is that you saw the problem and had it fixed right away. Do you have any idea as to how this happened? A fall down some stairs, a tussle with his Husky buddy? |

sorry to see it but glad he is doing ok. Dogs adapt real easily, so like Hi-Step said, its harder on you than him.

Thanks again everyone. Today is a little rough, he wants to scratch so bad he's crying that he can't. I was able to take his cone off for most of the day yesterday, because he didn't seem to have any interest in it, which means the cone has to stay on today.
On the upside, he's more mobile and a little less "out of it." |

Ta when dogs get put under they are "out of it" for a while - as are humans but we seem to come out of it faster. Each day will be better and better |
