anyone else been watching all the news so far today?


i guess the biggest news besides kinetic is the redesigned 360 that ships today! yup this thing should be in stores by the end of the week...
as soon as i read this i literally dropped everything and went up to gamestop and traded mine in... i hated my 360 this was my 4th one and it had disc read errors on alan wake and red dead so it was a matter of time..... but this new one is gonna be better i hope...it retails for $299 and had built in 250GB HDD built in WIFI , HDMI and kinetic ports....

i ended up getting $141 credit for my xbox today with all my accessories so not bad im looking at 180 with tax for a brand new 360 that should actually work.. they had no idea what i was talking about and i told them i would be back later in the week to pick up the new one..

the other big thing in my opinion was MGS : RISING game play footage





there was so much other stuff like Crysis 2 3D new need for speed Pursuit bulletstorm and madden

Sony's press conference is tomorrow... hope to get a real GT5 release date

After 3 years, i'll finally be buying a 360 again. I'm about 300 feet of wiring away from the router where I play my games, so no wi-fi was a killer for that system. 100 for the adaptor on top of what was then 450 dollars was also not happening, not when most of the online gaming i did was multiplatform titles and I had a PS3.

Besides that, the rest of MS's conference was no surprise. No new exclusives that really got me excited, but it was nice to finally see some Metal Gear Rising footage.

Next up is Sony with its 99% leaked conference. I really wonder how MS managed to keep some of its stuff somewhat secret while Sony seems to have its stuff leaked weeks in advance for the past 2 years.

yeah i agee those 2 things were the only real post worthy things of the day.... hoping to have my hands on the new xbox by the end of the week...

i think the biggest surprise, to me, was the the new 360 is shipping this week. announcing it? yea kinda figured that was coming after all the rumor mills going on about it. but this week? nah, didn't expect that. they really did keep the lid on it and that's cool. the new NFS: Hot Pursuit looks bad@$$ too. i hope it's a return to the original style, i loved that game back in the day (Pentium 1 FTW!!). halo reach trailer didn't blow me away but it looks pretty cool. i might not get it immediately but i will definitely pick it up at some point. i was hoping for an announcement of a game called Final Fantasy XIV: This One's Story Isn't Bat$hit Crazy, Promise!!!

Sony's big stuff that is known of so far is KZ3, Move, Motor Storm 3, Yet another PS3 harddrive increase (rumor), a Gran Turismo 5 announcement (obligatory), and their 3D plans, which are launching around now, depending on where you live.

I guess they could surprise us with something like Uncharted 3 (Too soon), FFVersusXIII (Prove its actually being worked on), or the long cloaked Rockstar exclusive that was "promised" after they went multi with GTA4.

Really, this year I'm not too excited for E3, but I never really am in the 4-5th years of a generation, because it's that awkward period where everyone is waiting for the new hardware to be revealed and most devs have already shown their big projects for the current run.

I am, however, looking forward to Nintendo's conference. Despite not owning a Wii anymore, and 95% sure I'll never buy one again, I am eagerly waiting to see what the first true Wii Zelda game looks like.

Might finally buy a Xbox 360 and hoping to see a GT5 date.
GT5 date and I will be happy with E3 this year, everything else is just a nice bonus. Been a bit "meh" the past couple of years, yes some nice video demos but really nothing ground breaking.

Best trailer ive seen so far imo. However the first game sucked.
I to am eager to see what nintendo has in store after 2 disappointing years.
Kinect seems to much of a gimick for me at the moment. And the new 360 looks sick.

is the MGS goingt o be for XBOX yay!

I am happy with the start of Kinect, it could start a new revolution of gaming.
Nintendo needs Zelda and 99USD for the Wii combo and it will be just fine.

Anyone else extremely dissapointed in valve's big surprise? They announced that it was not going to be of much interest to the consoles and more for the pcs. yet here we are with portal 2 coming to ps3. What a let down.

i thought it would be half life 3 or something

or HL2 ep 3...
