3D Televisions

I just saw a demo of Sony's 3D Bravias, and wow, talk about underhwelming. I wasn't expecting to cream my pants anyways, since 3D movies, even Avatar, don't wow me much either, but the demo Sony had running was really pathetic. 3D HD TVs running 3D Blu-ray demos running non-HD video? What the hell...

Has anyone seen any other 3D demos, maybe something better than a wolf pack in the forest in SD?

i was at HH greg 2 weeks ago getting a 60" LG plasma and they had a samsung 3D demo with like monsters vs aliens or something.. i agree for the price it was very underwhelming.. besides i dont even know what you would watch in 3D on a routine basis... i think the technology is going to succeed but for right not its just gimmicky.. 2-3 years from now when the 2nd Gen versions are out and the tech is cheaper and more widspread (meaning more content) i might pick one up for my bedroom or something but for now i will pass

the glasses hooked up to USB is kinda of annoying.. i felt like i was a kid again playing Zaxon 3D for sega master system on christmas morning

I haven't seen any 3d movies yet because I thought it was a gimmick. I did see panasonics 3d demo at best buy and I was very impressed. The picture was bright, sharp, and 3d. I'm planning to buy a 3d tv in half a year to a year, when there are 3d movies and games. Killzone 3 is in 3d.

Yup, it's too early to go with 3D TV technology right now...too $$$$. Needed to buy a TV. Was considering Sony's, but decided to go with a regular LCD instead (Sony NX800). Will revisit this the next time I need a new TV in a few years.
