It's usually a little longer than 3 months, even for USAF. Army is 15 months or so!

I know how deployment pay work (Iraq 12 months). It was more of a jab at air forces 3 month deployments.

I was out there filling in for your boys since you cannot seem to keep enough 25R/W/B in stock. Its all good though. I love this job.

what really surprised me was that while my wife and I were vacationing in San Diego last Halloween, whe met a young navy gunners mate who had just returned from a year in Afghanistan. Never thought we sent our ship types over there.
