Does anyone watch Pawn Stars? There was a guy that came into the shop wanting to sell a Datsun 280Z 10 Anniversary. Here is a quick version of how it went.

Pawn Stars: So how much are you looking to get for this?
Seller: I would really like to get $26k for it.
Pawn Stars: I'll give you $4k.
Seller: Oh come on. It dives great, no problems. This could sell for $60k.
Pawn Stars: This thing needs a lot of work.
Seller: Ok, $4k.
Pawn Stars: Let my mechanic look at it and make sure there isn't anything really wrong with it.
Seller: Ok.
.
.
.
Mechanic: Do not buy this car, not even at $4k.
Pawn Stars: Sorry man, I can't buy this car.
.
.
.
Seller: These guys don't have any idea what they are talking about. Jerks said they would give me $4k and then they backed out.

That show reminds me of Deadliest Catch. I have no idea why I like it but can't stop watching it!

I've caught this show on occasion, its pretty amusing. Watching the deal go down is great. Seller wants 10k, Buyer offers 2k. Ends up at 3k, Buyer spends 2k to restore and sells it off at auction for 20k. Pretty good business model if you ask me.

They had a tow truck driver trade in a legit shelby cobra chassis/body once...i think he brought it off the guy for 20k, restored it, sold it for 125k.

Yeh I saw that show. He had it restored and drove it on a track. The grand dad is still trying to het to 60 mph. Didn't he put over 100k into the restore? Still made a lot of money but tied up and risk a lot in the car.
