What's up Z drivers? I was about to put some Mobil 1 in my car today when I saw a warning label, so I didn't really know if this is what I should use. I figure u guys can let me know what oil is best for the Z.

Thanks!

I just buy the recycled oil from a gas station next to my office.

m4a1mustang 05-16-2010 01:28 PM

I don't have a gas station next to my office, but I do have one across the street from it. Do you think that oil would be just as good or does it need to be next door?

Exactly the opposite, it thrives under hot temps. You don't even need an oil cooler if you use that.

Well, my Z is a rather classy girl, and it says on the box that that is for nasty girls. My guess is it would be F-L-A-W-L-E-S-S on a 2004.5, but not on a 370.

Dreamer, what do you think about use oil from across the street from my work?

Mmmm, next door is better, and the more run down is key.

Okay, okay, a bit unconventional, but the oil off the top of pizzas is proven at high temps (ya know, because it's baked in an oven), and it's free if you eat a lot of pizza. Just drip it into a funnel and save until you have enough.

Yeah. I bet that's really good for lubricating the suspension, though.

You guys are all doing this wrong. I can't believe how stupid some of you are. :ugh2:

The BEST oil is the factory recommended Nissan Ester Oil.

I hear there is enough oil in the cast of jersey shore's hair to run a small fleet of vehicles for a couple years.

jpit 05-16-2010 02:51 PM

I don't bother with oil because I know which ever one I choose it will be the wrong one.

blue660r01 05-16-2010 02:55 PM

I port my engine by sucking sawdust up into my intake. You should try it.

didymus 05-16-2010 04:02 PM

Guys everyone knows fish oil is the best for the health of your engine!

Mobil One 5/30

zZSportZz 05-16-2010 06:41 PM

This thread has won the internet. We can all go home now.

PapoZalsa 05-16-2010 10:13 PM

Since my local AutoZone oil drop barrel is full I'm collectig it for my next oil change.

nicknick 05-16-2010 10:52 PM

For a 370Z I'd go Motul 8100 5W-30 or 5W-40, change it out every 6000km. It is a full 100% ester oil just like Redline. Stands up to heat better than regular synthetics oils.

antennahead 05-16-2010 11:06 PM

LMAO, I just found this thread, how'd I miss this earlier. Best oil would be peanut oil, good for your cholesterol and best to fry in....... with summer coming and higher engine temps, let's make sure we fry in peanut oil

(those of you with oil coolers are on your own)
