An insider told me years ago that when big razor companies are pushing the next big super razor, they intentionally place duller blades in the previous generation, so that when you buy the big brand-new one, you immediately get a closer shave. Believe me, it's not because it has a head that encases 6 blades and jizzes foam. It's because Gillette has been purposely cutting your face for 6 months leading up to release.
