It's funny, because if you ask most people if they liked the old designs, most would agree. So I always ask myself why we don't just make cars to look like the classics. I don't mean like the new mustang and it's attempt at recreating, but a very close recreation. I would guess it has something to do with safety and other standards that must now be met, but could be off base.

I see an auto like the Aston Martin One-77 as a modern day design that embodies what the old super cars (like the pic you posted) were all about!
