Anyone ever use ice substitutes to prevent dilution, such as the Whiskey Stones? Whisky Stones - Soapstone "Ice Cubes" for Whiskey Lovers I've always tended to stick to the 2-cube

I've always tended to stick to the 2-cube max rule, but I wouldn't be opposed to using these.

I haven't, but it seems pretty sophisticated.

Damn, how did I miss this thread.

I just picked up the Farmstock today. It is smooth but not a lot of flavor on the palate. It does have a nutty caramel aftertaste, but definitely not worth the price. I'm disappointed since I'm a huge fan of the 10 and 12 year WPs

Those bottles are awfully full. I think you need to get your game face on and start drinkin! >D

I'll post up a pic tomorrow but after a fairly thorough trek through bourbons and ryes, I've settled on Redemption 9-Year as my absolute favorite bourbon ever.

I love the single barrel but highly unimpressed with the quality. Turns to **** after about two hours in the glass. I drink slow and expect my bourbon not to turn that fast. Redemption 9 Year, so far as I've observed, is the only one that won't turn even after five days in an open-air environment. Now that's good bourbon! But yeah, you are right. It doubles the cost. I suppose as long as you pour light and drink fast, no problems. It is real hard to beat that one.

Makr Carry Handmade Wallets:

They are rather minimalist, but handmade in the USA. $60-$120

I'll admit, I've never had the bantai civet coffee, but understand the process of using the civet animals to eat and break down the enzymes of the beans. That being said, is it actually good coffee, or just exclusive?

It's different. If I had not gotten it as a gift, I doubt very much that I would have spent $75 for a pound of it. I have, however, spent 8x's that on an ounce of very good sinsemilla, I am, after all, a connoisseur.

That's certainly much more than the $30 most people spend on the green.

Who gave you a gift of $75/lb coffee?

I was just posting a link to kopi luwak, another civet type coffee. I've never tried either, but I hear the taste is much better than other coffees. Supposed to taste like caramel.

There is only one, and it is Kopi Luwak.

I see the "bacon scorpion" post has been removed, in good taste as this is the "finer things in life" thread.
