Meh, I don't think that would make the cigar taste too awesome. Kinky sure, maybe I'd use the cheap swisher sweets for that.

^ Truth. The best behavior in my entire life can be witnessed in this thread.

By the way, I know that canned coffee is little better than boxed wine, but do you folks have any you like that is NOT from starbucks/seattle's best? I used to take a canned starbucks espresso with me to work, but I haven't had either of those brands since the boycott.

frost 07-06-2010 10:35 PM

Also, I asked this in another thread, but this seems like an appropriate place. Any of you have someone who cleans your house? If so, what do you pay? I found on some other boards most people are paying .035 per sq/ft, or ~$20 an hour. I'm thinking about doing this but I keep seeing comments like "well, it's not as good as if I had done it myself." Thoughts?

m4a1mustang 07-06-2010 10:35 PM

Cuff links, anyone?

I like World Market coffee..... do you have those in Phoenix? They have quite a few varieties from around the world, and their prices blow away the super market and Starbucks. :ugh2:

I have a Keurig brewer at home and at work, so that's all I drink these days. Colombian Fair Trade Select is my absolute favorite... great stuff.

I do it myself. I am very neat, and everything has it's place, so cleaning is not hard, just takes time. I must have a lot of dead skin though, because my house seems to be a dust magnet :p

I'll have to try your Columbian Fair Trade Select, they have them, I just always reach for the Kona :p

At my age, the phrase "Columbian Select" brings back different memories of college days gone by ;)

frost 07-06-2010 10:45 PM

Never had it. I make my own lattes and mochas on the weekends, but on weekdays I just like to get going.

I love the stuff so much... it's classically balanced, vibrant and complex with a splash of ripe fruit. It's the perfect medium blend, IMO.

I have to be honest, I pegged you for a coffee drinker for some reason

frost 07-06-2010 10:49 PM

I'm not finding the canned version 6-strings. Are you talking about the plastic k-cup things?

m4a1mustang 07-06-2010 10:49 PM

Trip is just lying to us. He's really Chef Robert Irvine in real life.

Do you have a good machine? I have been looking for a good, reasonably priced pump machine that works with your own grind, as well as pods......... any suggesstions?

That's some dedication! I bet it's delicious though.

Yeah, I think any more than $200 and I would just keep going to coffee houses.

If you mean the ones Steve and I were discussing, yes, it is the Keurig pod machines. The World Market coffees are whole bean, but you should have a grinder bud, if you don't, buy one

$20? Not too bad at all.

shumby 07-06-2010 11:56 PM

nope and the low heat is the key

m4a1mustang 07-07-2010 08:16 AM

That looks like it would be useful. Keurig sells a mesh K-cup for your own grounds... I'd get the grinder and the mesh k-cup w00t.

Has many links to some of the finer things in life:

Fine Living - AskMen.com

While it certainly doesn't qualify as a "finer thing in life" by itself, it provides me with a 16 oz cappuccino every single morning that rivals any coffee shop, at the fraction of the cost.
