Bike went down today "VENT"
So today I get home and my mother greets me at the door. Tels me kindly to put my stuff down because she needs my help. I continue to ask her for what but she says nothing. She takes me out back to the shed. Where I clearly see my motorcycle laying on its side. She tells me she was mowing the lawn and went to put it back and she just lost the footing when pushing it inside and it went down. Now I will break at this point and say that my mother is undergoing stress tests and is off work because of it. So I could not yell at her or get angry. I kept my cool but OMG did I want to scream. 2 years and the bike has a huge dent in the side of the panel now. It poped back out but still needs to be replaced the plastic is warped.
Just had to vent about this. |
Why the f*** was your mom mowing the lawn? You should be doing that.
|
I was in school she wanted to do it and likes doing it. I would not mind doing it. Before you say my father should be doing it he is Iraq right now.
|
Did you finish all your subjects?
|
FOr the two classes I had today yes.
|
it was nice of you to keep your cool. i'm sure she knew you'd be pissed and probably felt bad even though you didn't get upset in front of her.
|
Ok, good. Make sure you study hard for your exams. We need to lift those math grades up.

I know it sucks to have any kind of damage on your trusty steed, but ish happens. Sounds like it was an honest mistake. Just be glad you didn't lay the bike down while riding it.
Go for a ride and you'll get over it soon enough. :) |

I'm sure her popping you out hurt a lot more than you seeing your bike scratched.
PS - May God be with and bless your father. |
^ gayest avatar I have ever seen
|
Thanks speed!
|
Damn, Mattie, at first I thought you went down while riding...:ugh2:
Check eBay, keep your eyes open for people parting out your bike. A lot cheaper than buying a new panel. I picked one up for my MV last year for about half the price the dealer wanted. |

My statement was a joke btw ;) Yes the creature in my avatar is quite happy isn't he? :hello: |
I know how you feel man. About a month or two after i got my 370z, i had my ZX6R parked right in front of my car in my parking spot to make it harder to steel the bike. Gf went out to clean the inside of the car and she doesnt drive but for some reason she started the engine, thinking it was already in Neutral when in fact it was in 1st. She let her foot off the clutch and boom! She comes in balling her eyes out. I go outside to find the bike under the bumper/engine of the car, bumper hanging off. Backed the car up, ripping the rest of the bumper off, picked the bike up, fairings broken/scratched, kickstand and brake peddle bent.
Its good you kept your cool with your mom, i tried to keep cool with my gf cuz i know it was a accident, but i couldnt hold it back and flew into her. Her mother was going to buy her a plane ticket home cuz she thought i was going to kill her. Do you have any pictures of the damage? |
Will try to get a few pics. My jaw dropped when i read what happened thats bad man!

I'm sure it wasn't intentional and at least she told you what happened so get over it. You're mom shouldn't be cutting the grass even if there's nothing to do...

Since my wife makes about as much as I do and she's the one that told me to go buy my '10 Roadster I would be hard pressed not to forgive her if she ran my bike over with my Z (although I haven't had a bike since my first kid was born). That said, she'd definitely be on the hook for daily BJs till both were back from the bodyshop.
