I personally think the whole toyota thing is ********. most of the times the people that get into the news end up being people who didn't even use their brakes.

and seriously. neutral? turning off the engine?

Insurance companies will insure anything, but might raise the rates on those vehicles for a short time period which I even doubt. People are still buying Toyota's, why?, because they are smart enough to understand BS from the media and real issues.

Yes Toyota has liablity for those issues.

However, I have a 07 RAV4 with ZERO porblems in the past 3 yrs. I will not have a problem buying another Toyota. Plus my first new car was a Toyota Corolla SR5.

But I hope my insurance doesn't go up just because is a Toyota.

The only toyotas that have problems if any, are the ones that are made here in the states =(

IF this goes through, it could lead to a whole new slew of lawsuits against Toyota by people with "claims" of this defect.

^^ If it gets to that point you may see a New Name appear.

But this is what all car companies do, they say no till they are proven wrong.

The black box data was looked at by the cops. The data showed she was accelerating, no doubt she thought she had her foot on the brakes. :shakes head:

The guy in Cali was also proven to be full of BS. Black box data proved he was using both the accelerator and the brakes. Dude is nothing more than an adult Balloon Boy. Feds reviewed black box data. And apparently the cop did not get in front of him as originally stated, er, hyped.

The whole thing is media hyped nonsense. Just like Audi 5000's back in the 80's. I bought a nice chunk of Toyota stock at 71 at the height of the media frenzy. I'm happy.

:iagree:

Let's analyze the actual data we have and ignore the government and media talking heads for once.
