details are VERY sketchy right now but it could be shown as early as august and onsale in the winter.. this is the reason only 315 2011's are coming to the US... because they are doing a early launch of a 2012 the reasoning behind this seems to be keeping up with the latest refresh of the 997. this car now does 0-60 in like 3 seconds flat.. the GTR still was tested better that it in a few recent head to head track tests but straightline acceleration it cant keep up so the new version of the R35 is looking to up the ante again |
don't give Bluebatmobile any ideas. He'll go buy one too

Interesting, I'm looking forward to 2012 facelift. Hopefully the economy would pick up by then so I can get one without much worries :)

Nissan has been very good lately about warranty a friend on NAGTROC just received a new transmission and his car was modded and he had tracked it.. porsche now keeps track of how many times and for how long the car was redlined and uses it to determine abuse in warranty claims many cars have similar warranty exemptions the GTRs were just made very public and they got some bad PR due to some missteps at the initial launch of the car in 08 |

i think the HP will be the biggest deal with the 2012.. im taking an educated guess that the exterior changes will be something sublte that non GTR affecinados wont even notice.. similar to what you see in these pics. in additon to this i would like to see a different wheel design and would like the dark grey off the 40th anni 370 and the limited G37 be offered for the GTR in 12.. i would get that with some black wheels http://blogs.edmunds.com/straightlin...mb-555x370.jpg http://blogs.edmunds.com/straightlin...mb-555x370.jpg |

In another word you have around 12 more yrs of the R-35 GT-R with some changes.
That is if they are going to keep the R-35 for that long this time, maybe in Japan but I don't think that is going to happen in the U.S. |
Thank you for all the info
