Did you already filled your 2010 Census form?

I just did mine, easy but a lot of information that I don't think it needs to be there.

So, Did you already fill your 2010 Census form?

SmoothZ 03-15-2010 10:20 PM

Got it today. Haven't even opened the envelope yet. At this point, I don't care. I'm still trying to figure out how to avoid paying taxes...

frost 03-15-2010 10:21 PM

I'm refusing. Some of the questions are too personal. Also, what's with question 2, are they trying to trick us with repetition?

Is that the one about race?

BTW, they are saying in the News that is a $500 penalty if you don't fill it out...

I'm sure that's at the top of the priority list for the illegals living here...

frost 03-15-2010 10:26 PM

Even if I didn't mind the questions (which I do), I don't want to fill out that long form. They better try their luck with the door-to-door bloke.

PS, for all they know, this place could be abandon, like half the other houses in this **** hole.

bucketman 03-15-2010 10:33 PM

What gets me is that last week they send a letter saying they are going to send us the census. WTF I wonder how much that cost?

That pissed me off so much, I couldn't even talk about it. Or how about the superbowl ad they bought? How much was that?
Now every other tv commercial is some celeb telling me to fill out my census.

Over my dead body

I prefer to fill out the form that took me like 2 minutes than somebody knocking on my door asking questions in the evening or weekend.

I'm hoping my pant-less ranting will get me added to some sort of black list.

Mike 03-15-2010 10:47 PM

we got the american family survey about 4 months ago. They sent it twice then called. i wasn't going to answer it at all, but they got my wife on the phone and roped her into answering. When she started asking me questions that they were asking her, like income and etc, I lied.

When I get the cencus form, I'm only telling them that 2 people live here. They have no constitutional right to know anything else.

Do you really think the government needs to know all that about you? If you do, why?

My luck, all my neighbors will answer with their income level and the government will go "these people make too much money in this neighborhood, create a program to diversify them with some lower income people" :roflpuke2:

AndyO 03-16-2010 08:04 AM

im not really sure why they need to know all this. and why is this so important. They can find out anything they want anyway.

Matt 03-16-2010 09:55 AM

My County, State, and Federal Government all receive tax money from me. That should be all the info they need.

EDIT: Great cartoon, Steve. Love the tinfoil hat! A co-worker was asking me a serious question about something work-related and I burst out laughing after reading the cartoonw ith my peripheral vision. Thanks a lot!

In soviet america, you get mailed to the census :icon17:

zmyride 03-16-2010 08:46 PM

Everyone(10 total) in my family is illegal. 5 are working for Al Queda. 3 are serial murders. 2 are dropouts working for some restaurants under the table. So no we don't fill out the census, or my whole family will get deport back to our own country, Texas.

I think the credit companies know about you than the govt CARES TO. With all your utilities and luxury items (cable internet, satellite, cell phones), all of that info gets sold to several data collection companies who turn around and sell it again.

I think you misunderstand the whole 'Big Brother' thing. :D I think the issue is whether they have the access to find out everything about you IF THEY NEED TO.
