11.3 billion spent on this census, which according to the radio equates to $50 for every single individual in the US. The most expensive in history and one of the lowest times in America. I'm voting against everyone currently in office in the next election to (attempt) to show them that Americans are tired of this kind of garbage.

how the hell would they know who filled it out and who didn't?

I got it yesterday, but I am debating on the whole filling out part.

semtex 03-17-2010 11:54 AM

I'm going to fill in my name as Elvis.

Same here, vote them out! It's time for some younger blood! These old fu@kers that have been in office for 20 and 40 years need to be voted out!

Hell, the president can only serve two terms, they need the same terms!

Not a rumor, that is on the census website as one of the FAQ'S. Don't think that would ever happen though. Just a scare tactic.

11. What happens if I don’t respond?
Although the law makes it a crime not to answer the decennial census, the American Community Survey and other mandatory censuses, and authorizes the courts to impose a fine of up to $5,000 for failure to respond, the Census Bureau views this approach as a last resort. Rather than emphasizing or seeking the imposition of penalties, we encourage response by explaining
the importance of the questions we ask and how the information benefits
the community.

. and there's the problem with big government, no way it should cost $50 a citizen to administer this, but that's the way of every gov't. program, most of the revenue goes to paying the gov't. employees who administer it, and very little makes it to the person or project for which it's intended.......... pathetic!!!

The government should contract out almost everything, because everything the government does cost WAY more than what it should because of the bureaucracy.

It costs the govt a lot more than $50 per illegal to put them through the system... so the libs like to throw money at them instead so they can eventually become voters. Crazy.

Those veteran politicians are doing a fine job of breaking the law and causing one scandal after another, thereby checking themselves out of the office. I just wish there was a faster way to get rid of them if we're not happy with their job.
