mba are always good, but it is also the one masters EVERY gets, and is more focused unfortunately to what school you got it in. What i have never understood is why a person who has a 4 year degree in BA goes for 2 more years to learn essentially the same thing? I guess if you focus your mba into a specific target then that helps. masters are funky things dude i have a M.S. (<-- master of science, i like saying it) in alternative energy, and a specialization in bio-fuels. Company i work for does not care about it, we do not do anything in this area, so its like if i never had a masters degree. I do not get paid extra for it. still nice to say "master of science" heh. if that dude is making 40k/yr, he should be very grateful, because as everyone says, roughly 2,000,000,000,000,000,000 graduate with that degree every semester. so just to have a job is great.

so if 40k is to be expected for a bba.. what kind of figures do you guys think one can expect from the masters? and would you have to start from the bottom if your fresh outta college? like my friend just got his BA in finance and they started him as a BANK TELLER! what?! you can get the job with a hs diploma? 4 years and 30grand for nothing? so going back to my second question.. would you start at the bottom with a masters too or would they start you as a manager or someting?

50k
there are literally only 10 schools out there that can get you into a high management job, but on top of that, you could have a masters from Harvard but with no experience you are worthless. essentially experience counts about 75% of the time more than the diploma. So your best bet is get the BA, work for 2-3 years then get the mba, then you can start migrating into managerial positions. there is nothing worse than a manager who never worked at the bottom. They are worthless as hell. they do not function in a company, cannot understand the team they lead, and all they can do is play with excel, do not be one of those dudes. Company i work for all 5 of our project managers never had any design experience with their engineering degrees, hell one of them is even a civil engineer, so now, i have to suffer with ridiculous time lines, no money for prototypes, its just a mess.
