Valve coming to Mac?

Valve's Mac Teasers Just Made Me Change My Pants - Steam - Gizmodo

It's apparently true: Steam is coming to Mac. Not just Steam, though. Judging by these awesome teasers released by Valve, so are Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress 2 AND Left 4 Dead.

Awesome, it's about time lol

I'll believe it when I see it

theDreamer 03-03-2010 04:19 PM

It is looking like 90% true, as the pictures provided are coming from Valve themselves, and with the updated code including OS X pieces for testing it might be this year at some point.

makes sense. all of the hardware is the same now so it's just that much easier.

maybe it's just been like activex, where microsoft is just intentionally screwing the mac community

the 2 that i experience the most are the activex issue and office.mac running like shite, even on a macbookpro with 4gb and a 3ghz core2duo

Sweet sweet SWEET!!! Even though I do not game much other than unreal tournament it will be cool to finally go to some other lan parties with my mac. But honestly if I really wanted to run games I could just as easily dual boot with windows xp or 7 and run the games like that.

AutoX Z 03-03-2010 06:10 PM

Yea I dual boot on both my macs with windows 7.

And it is now official: Valve confirms Mac support for Steam and Source Engine -- Joystiq

Steam and Valve's lineup of games (including "including Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike, Portal, and the Half-Life series") will be available to Mac users this April, but from here on out, simultaneous cross-platform releases should be the norm.
