No one can deny that corvettes are very fast cars. But no one can deny they are built like crap too. Over here the cheapest base vette has an msrp of about 67k. That's more than a fully loaded 335i and actually pretty close to the M3 price. Pretty inexcusable to charge so much money while offering such a poor quality fit and finish. Nissan updated the interior significantly for the 370z even as its price dropped relative to the old car. Couldn't chevy at least put some effort into improving the vette build quality? |

As far as build quality in the chebbies goes... the are actually well built, it's just the choice of materials and overall design of the interior. It LOOKS like a $50k car from the outside and by all means performs and drives like one, but it's like the designers just gave up on coming up with something nice for the cockpit. I suspect, though, that whenever the 'Vette gets its next refresh the new cockpit is going to be nice. The newer GM vehicles are getting pretty nice now on the inside (ever sat in one of the new Buicks?), so I think the Corvette will get a much needed makeover on the interior. |

I am on that forum only to view the Texas regional section so I can see what shows, meet ups, etc. are happening. Many of the guys are coming here to post about them now so I can go there less and less. :) |

I would love to see a FAIR race video between both cars though. As the one I saw on there the 350Z HR had a passenger and a poor driver shifting slow. It would have been nice to see what would have happened with both those corrected. |

Its not easy to tell in the video, but the distance between the cars was 5 full lengths, and I was pulling further and further, he gave me the props after the race, and now hes currently in the market for a 370. BTW, check the thread, i joined just to make my presence felt, got a little aggression out.

All depends on the drivers, conditions, and so on. Make it equal, do a race with no passenger. A Passenger can and will make a good difference in time between having one and not even for 100lb. |
Also just to mention, the DE guys use to do the same thing to the HR guys. Saying their car was faster than the HR when it wasn't. That kept on for like a year or so, and still does in some cases on the forum with the Douches. Now they are blaming the HR people for their arrogance because of this history.

heres an idea Nismo, buy a 370.

like most of you put it, as the car cheapins so doesn the site.
Iv been a memeber of my350z for 2 years and seen it change in just that short time. This site will end up like that over time, its unfortunate. |
Damn kids and their music!

Youth or how cheap a car is has little to nothing to do with the maturity of a community.
I was a member on a G5 forum (and a Cobalt one) for a long time. Those are cars that attract young kids -- and yet the community was fine. Hell, NASIOC is great too. I don't mind people being passionate about their cars, that is okay. It does annoy me when they are ignorant and try to spread that to others. I also can't stand this: Quote:

Not really. The thread was about my350z, and it slowly graduated to Z enthusiasts that seem to segregate their cars. Is that a bad thing to discuss?
