Talking My New Mac

Words can not describe how excited I was to go get this bad boy today.

15 inch macbook pro
2.53ghz Processor
4 gb ram
Nvidia Graphics card.

Upgraded from a 5 1/2 year old powerbook g4.

This thing laughs at any tasks I as it to handle. Plenty of power and battery life. The greatest part is I can go a full college day with a single charge and still have over an hour left when I get home. The old one finally died 2 days ago over a internal power plug problem. It never gave me a single problem and I had no regrets by the time it finally died about buying it.

Here she is.

^^If you look at the top right of the last pic you can see the old mac. The tools right next to the mac were there to see what was going on with the old mac.

Nice computer man! I've got the Al Unibody Macbook 13.3 inch with about the same specs. It's a great computer, will last, and beats the chit outta any Piece of Crap.
The new trackpad is amazing. Watch the vid on it. Took me about 4 months to realize that a 3 finger side to side swipe takes me forward and backward on my browser :P
You'll love it my friend!

Did you find the problem inside the old laptop then? Worth fixing? I am still using a G3 Laptop 400MHz from 1997!

The problem was the actual charging port that is connected to the motherboard has finally worked itself lose. About a yea and a half ago it was dropped directly on the charger when it was plugged in. I was surprised that it did not ruin it at that time. I would repair it but with a small damaged part on the screen, a dented in side of the frame, and original battery that only lasts 30 minutes. I thought it was time to let it go. I will tell you what that thing took a beating and beats any computer I have ever had. Very cool to have a computer that old man. A guy at the store said "you will pretty much have to throw them away when they are even still working. As they just get to old.

Great buy!! I just retired my ibook after 3 years of college, 2 years grad school and 6 years of DJ abuse lol.

After all that time, the only thing that happened was the superdrive kicked the dust and the battery lost its charge. (and I spilled 20oz of water all over it and it still kept going)

I didn't go with a new mac this time around because PCs are just so damn cheap these days, and the components rival macbook pros for half the price.

If this one craps out, I definitely know I'm gonna go back to a mac for my mobile PC.

Very nice. I myself have the 24" IMAC. Love the macbook especially the scroller/click pad.

baught my self the dual quad mac pro about 12 weeks ago. Coming from a PC nut hugger it really is a nice work station...Compared to all the other companies selling work stations apple is actually on the cheap side. I never thought those words would come outta me.

Once you get used to it, you will be able to navigate incredibly fast. I would have never thought I'd like it when I first saw it. Have fun man!
