So members!!! PM me to catch up with you and hang out or whatever lol!!
My only friends are my iPhone and my GPS at this time! Jaa!!

I would definitely suggest coming out the 14th to a meet up for some coffee and Z/G chat. http://www.the370z.com/texas/13930-d...-feb-14th.html
Sounds like you were in the mess of interests Houston has, it can get confusing but once you drive around here for a bit you will learn how things work.

610 - Inner circle around the entire city
Beltway 8 - Outer circle of entire city and also a toll road
I-45 - Splits Houston in half (east/west style), runs through the heart of Houston basically
I-10 - Splits Houston in half (north/south style), also runs through the heart of Houston

I live out 290 on the northwest side of town, but work off of I-10 around Memorial City Mall (if you ever catch a PG 370z it might be me). Any other questions let us know.

Pfht, you people, just a couple of loops and 10 lanes each way interstates (ok so at some points it is like 12 lanes each way)

Many times I wish I had my car, but I was stuck with a rental Impala and Cobalt. It seems like trucks/SUVs are driven like sports cars and own the road... crazy drivers! I've not seen one 370Z over there.

I'll be back this summer for vacation and another round of "Meet the Parents." I'm usually around the Cypress area where my gf used to live, and we usually stay around the Willowbrook area. I think we plan to visit San Antonio and Galveston area. Please let me know of other suggestions... food-wise

o0javi0o... like crawfish?

theDreamer 02-09-2010 08:34 AM

Oh Cypress, that is where I live.
Food wise, Whataburger, Freebirds, Pappa restaruants (pappadeaux/etc.), most tex-mex places are pretty good. Usually the ones that are smaller (not chains) are the better ones to go to.

Woot! Im back! Sorry i missed you guys!
Nice!! Im living by willowbrook!
Dont ask where exactly because still dont know Well lol!

I will try to get to the meeting on sunday but i believe that I will be in New Orleans at MardiGras. :)

But if you can PM your numbers I can text you and plan something.

I am looking for a track!!!! Lol. Im missing my car at this moment since it is out of town, but it will be with me soon.!!! I am moving on my super company car. A fast and aggresive Ford Escape! Very exiting but is working for me right now :).

Hope to meeting with yiu guys soon!!

Actually bye the Willowbrook area I've seen 2 370z, yellow and white.

Have you guys tried Tokyo One? IIRC, it's close to Willowbrook mall. It's pricey, but it's pretty darn good for a buffet. We got nothing good here :-( I haven't tried BBQ or good burgers (Whataburger doesn't impress much for a chain). Everytime I'm here I eat too much haha. Fast-food wise there's Philly Connection and Chick Fil A, which I don't have here.

Good gawd though... businesses are so jam packed over there.

Chriz 02-10-2010 11:45 PM

Tokyo One is pretty amazing. So is Todai. There are alot of restaruants on Westhimer that are good too.

Depends on where you are.
State troopers can be pretty hard, but give way a good bit for only being 5-10 over. It is your local area cops along the highways you have to look out for. Say you are coming down 45 Dallas to Houston, you might roll through a small town which changes the speed limit from 70 to 55 or 45, I suggest 100% to follow that. Not just because it is the law, but those cops have no tolerance for 1MPH over.

Nice!!
Good to know that!!
FHP- Florida highway patrol; these guys are the ones you dont want to mess. The appear from no where.....

Have you guys tried Pei Wei?!
I was yesterday by Woodlands area and went to that place, i like it.

theDreamer 02-11-2010 02:26 PM

Pei Wei in my mind is the best you can get without going down to Chinatown in Houston, which I have been to plenty of times with friends so Pei Wei is just good. Funny actually I almost went to lunch at Pei Wei today, but ended up going to Whataburger because no one else wanted Pei Wei.
The good thing about cops in Houston is most run around with K/Ka running in their cars so it is easy to pick them up from a distance. Down side to cops in Houston are the stealth Chargers, look out for white Dodge Chargers with a hint of black on the front. Only a couple of exterior lights, grey text on the side says "POLICE" and can only be seen if near them. Those guys will just do 90 around Houston trying to pick people off.

Chriz 02-11-2010 05:08 PM

Yeah always be aware of chargers. They usually have antennas and tinted windows also. Sometimes black cop rims. Pei Wei is pretty good, but if you want really good Chinese food I recomend going somewhere in Chinatown down at Belaire. Although you might want someone who knows the area to go with you at first.
