Can someone help me out? - Corel Draw X4
I refuse to pay $430 or whatever they think they can charge. I had the haxed version working great, but now I cant save or print or copy and paste or anything like that. I'm assuming thats because Corel planted something somewhere in the computer telling the program its not legit. Can someone who is better at this stuff lend a hand? I really need to get this thing working.

Either OS can be reverted back in time to when the software was working properly...not as extreme as it sounds since you won't lose any documents, user files. I'm surprised Corel is still around...Photoshop crushed it years ago.....Corel must be on it's fifth or sixth corporate owner by now, all failed at resurrecting that ghost.............

hmm, I didnt think about doing a restore.... Im not really sure I want to do that though.
Windows. Corel bought Jasc a while back and built up the Paint shop pro series. X4 is actually pretty damn good. Also Corel Draw and Photoshop are completely different programs. Corel is more geared towards creating new content while photoshop is more to edit content. Im trying to use AI instead of Corel, but its meh. |

How do you input the code/key for Corel?
Is it the standard 8-12 character key code or is there more required?

FYI, if you do a Windows Restore and things don't work out to your liking, you can revert back to today's date. Still a good idea to do a backup first, though.

Hmmm. Why not pay for it? You (probably) payed for your car and all its add ons...
Software is expensive and tool, but after developers have spent months crunching in the studio and not seeing their family, they should at least be rewarded with some money, right? Sheesh. I used to be unemployed and save what little money I had towards buying software so I could make a portfolio and get out of the crapper. Why do people have such a sense of entitlement these days? Why does everybody want everything for free? Grrrr. Sorry, but it irks me.

^^^ because some software companies charge prices out of their *** with no idea how bad their product is in real life. and well after a while you get tired of paying money for crap.
Not that Corel is a bad software, but unless you work in this area, how many times do you use it a year? 3-5 times? that is a way to little to pay $500 for only 5 times of usage. Most people will pay for a software they use 24-7, but not for one they plan on using once or twice.

If it's bad, use a competitors product. Of find some shareware/hippyware alternative. It's simple. If you just use it five times a year, get a cheap shareware product instead of a full price studio product. If you're not making money off the software, get something cheaper. If you can't afford it, get something cheaper. If you refuse to pay that amount, get something cheaper. There really isn't any justification in stealing something just because you can. Sheesh, people here would probably download cars if they could... Again, it's nothing more than an inflated sense of self entitlement people have. We, the people, don't want to put up with expensive software! Well you, the people, should make your own software, then.

Sweet, not just $500, but $500 TWICE!
I prefer to download the product, try it, THEN purchase if my needs and budget can warrant it.

^^^ agree with the jesus.
because reality is some software are too outrageous to buy to try. $500 is a lot of money but peanuts compared to say: LightTools (optical package) $21,000 per year!. Comsol (FEA/CFD) full package: $125-150,000 yes you read right. Catia V5: $20-25,000 Cheaper alternatives to these do not exist, and the ones that are cheaper and try to emulate don't get the job done.

I'm not going to get into an argument about good or bad. I just need to know if someone has had experience. Worst comes to worst I go in and buy the program, but $400 in this economy?
From the looks of it, I'm going to have to end up paying for it... since no one appears to have a solution. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose. |

nah dude, rcz you are screwed on the software part. Once Corel, or any software patches your software to know you are not paying for it, its kinda hard to back track it.
worst comes to worst... try reverting your computer 2-3 months see how that works, if its no good... download INKSCAPE.... its an open source software, no where as good as corel draw, but gets the job done.
