oh i know that they left adam and eve open ended until they had a plan..... like most everyone thought it was benard and rose....

but the outrigger? c mon that was last season... i always assumed she shot someone really important.. why even show that scene if you know you arnt gonna pay it off....

i guess though if his name wasnt something shockingly relevant like he was actually jacob or even aaron or something like that it was a mystery for so long that ... its better to be MIB than say timmy or jimmy or whatever lol.. i mean it suits the character better than to have to rewatch lost one day and say well theres billy the smoke monster ...... i mean in that aspect i agree with leaving some mystery... but somethings they have set up for years with no answer thats just not gonna be right to the viewer to leave it open

How did MIB get that name? Did someone actually coin that name in one of the episodes or is that just a name used by fans?

i think it was at first a combination of a fan thing when everyone was discussing who the person was in the season 5 finale and i think ABC used that name in a recap or something... its also a reference to Randall Flagg from dark tower and the stand both have major influences on lost

I could have seen that coming from a mile away. Of course Jack would take Jacob's place. I don't know how well their idea of killing MIB is gonna go. Ben is back to his usual crazy self from the looks of it. Its been awhile since he's been on.

Last week's episode was the shocker to me. Are they ever going to tell us MIB's name? It was like they were sooo intentionally not telling us. It was driving me nuts! How MIB came about was quite interesting. They were building up to it throughout the episode so I kinda figured it had to be from the light. And then they explained the bodies from season 1. I was like WHOA!!!

I'm suppose to be going to a Lost Finale get together on Sunday. Should be fun. But it starts at 7 ET? Thats kinda crappy.

you guys should take a few mins and watch this... its EW's current edition of totally lost and it has jacob and MIB on it... mark pelligrino and titus welliver actually give some really good clear cut insight on the characters and the episode.. those guys seem cool as hell

you would never get this much straight explanation from the producers or the regular actors.. plus there is a sort of funny skit with jacob as an intern lol

here is my biggest question of the episode... what did jacob want desmond to do as the failsafe? it was a last ditch effort to stop MIB from leaving and it had something to do with the electromagnetism right?

I wonder if ben is really back to his old self, could be a ploy. Jack taking jacobs place was also a no-brainer, but I think its going to be short lived IMO. I wonder what can kill MIB, maybe his own ashes?

Lost - how its gonna end (has already ended):

1. Its jack now but it wont matter - Ben kills all of them
2. MIB uses Desmond to destroy the island and sink it
3. The "Sideways" occurs after the island is done and all of them are "dead" or whatever
4. Desmond is seen trying to unite all the remaining candidates (jacks going on his own) in the "sideways" as this is the grand failsafe Jacob had always planned
5. Widmore knew what was going to happen and purposely had himself captured - Jacob probably told him to say whatever he says to MIB (why the hell would Widmore decide to let himself get captured by the MIB??)
6. Desmond somehow saves the day?

na,i think the island is underwater because in 1977 they didnt denotate the bomb in that reality and the electromagnestism from dharma drilling sunk the island.

the island world is in 2007 the sideways is in 2004.... where in that world the island sunk in 1977

i do believe the island will probably sink by the hands of desmond or MIB and somehow the events in the sideways 2004 will take place after the island events.... not sure exactly how yet
