Hope everyone in Florida stayed safe through the night. Now comes the clean up.

that storm was a fricken monster.. the media has been showing clips of the tornado off I-75 (in alligator alley).. that was actually a few miles away from me.. pretty crazy.

Sounds like you survived without too much damage?

I used to live in Riverview back in 2004, but moved back to NY, then SC. I worked in the IT department at Publix in Lakeland.

We got very very lucky brother.. for us in south florida it was more the tornado threat than anything else, we got very lucky.. I was nervous, not even gonna lie.

Lakeland is a really nice area, less crowded up there than it is here.

Mother in law to first wifey used to live in Miramar. We was there visiting when Andrew hit. We left about 6hrs before it made landfall. We went back the following year and seen what was left of Homestead.

its crazy how people from here vividly remember that storm, apparently it completely flattened homestead.

What I remember is that all the houses built by one construction company was destroyed. The houses left standing was built by another construction company. That was a big thing on the news.
