"US consumer spending is expected to cool further but not fall off a cliff." Keep in mind, with each rate hike by the Feds, the effects are not immediately felt and takes some time. For example, if your credit card minimum payments are of a certain amount, even if you don't charge anything else going forward, expect for the min. payment amount to go up in the next coming months. In order words, don't go into unnecessary/toxic debt.
