I jailbroke my iphone to overcome it's shortcomings and I am sure it won't be long till people have this thing cracked with all the goods. I hope Apple builds a more upscale version with a proper OS though. |

I seriously feel more freaking retarded after watching this. I can't even reduce my mental capacity to an amount required to run this thing. He spent like, 2 minutes surfing around random websites, and even more time on email. If I heard him say "simple" one more time... Nothing is innovative about this thing. Nothing. |
^It's not personal, Apple didn't make this just to offend you. I think we are having a discussion about the pros and cons of this thing but spouting off your disgust doesn't really contribute to your point of view.

"This product is boring, bland, unimaginative" "This product is totally not Apples style or up to their par of quality" "This product is marketed for people with 5 or less functioning brain cells" Steve-o seriously sounded like he was reaching as hard as possible to make it sound innovative, and it ended up being boring as hell. I could actually hear him thinking, "hmm...how long can I simply surf the web for, and show off features that just about every touch screen has, and keep the crowd interested?!" |

Moving along, I found this article pretty interesting. The best thing to come out of this could be the competition to come from it. Hopefully we will see more and better products from other manufactures to adapt and force Apple to push the bar if they want to stay atop the heap in the "cooler than thou" gadget arena. |
I think the biggest thing that bothers me is how stupid I would look trying to type on it in public.

I guess I'm just not sure of the point. It lacks too many tools to really be useful.

I like the concept but I think it should be able to run OS 10.6 not some iPhone software and iLife is a definite yes us I want a web cam on it. The MacBook touch is a awsome concept that I would definatly get
btw:I have AT&T and I barely get service any where plus I'd take a droid over a iPhone any day |

It would solve almost any issue with it people have, and still allow Apple to have their control over the device, maybe even more so (jailbreaking community?). |
