Me and Covid, day 12...
Been a not so fun ride. Got the Phizer jab back in May due to my job and dealing with hundreds of elderly daily. Usually wear a fashion statement in grocery stores or anywhere that requires it.
Day one: sore throat, a little tired. Day two: sore throat, headache, still tired. Day three: sore throat, headache, ears clogged, tired. Day four: sore throat, headache, ears clogged, feels like someone sticking and ice pick in my ear drums, achy and exhausted. Day five thru 7: all of the above. Day eight and nine: all of the above with a persistent wet cough. Day ten: all of the above except wet cough is now an unrelenting dry cough. Day eleven: all of the above with added feature of coughing so hard I gave myself a hernia. Day twelve: mild, semi dry cough, one ear still clogged, headache and discolored abdomen from the hernia. No sense of taste or smell. Feeling pretty good. I’m thinking I’m over the worst and actually slept for over 2 hours straight this afternoon. |
yikes! |
Hopefully, you're over the worst of it. You're not the only one to get it after being jabbed. :shakes head:

Hoping to get back to work by Wendsday or Thursday. My wife woke up with a sore throat this morning... she’s a smoker. I’m worried about her... |
So you got both the 1st and 2nd Phizer crap. At least you didn't break a rib coughing like I did back in 2019. That freaking sucked and took forever to heal.
|
Hope all goes well with your wife. I always take the chances and leave my wife at home to protect her as much as I can.
|
Get well soon man. I had covid back in August and fortunately my symptoms were relatively mild.

Day 16? I think?
Mild wet cough with the grossest looking phlegm I’ve ever seen.... Taste and smell is back, no fever, energy almost normal. Thinking it’s over. :ughdance: |
Did you go to the doctor during any of this for a consult if monoclonal antibodies (mAb) would of perhaps helped you recover faster? Hope your wife is doing good too. (Just being curious)

All in all, I’d say the worst part was the cough. Never did I think I might need to the hospital and I certainly didn’t think I was going to die. It was pretty much the worst flu I ever had. Maybe that was due to the jab, I don’t know.... Wife tested negative and she’s just tired, achey with a wet cough. If she doesn’t get better in the next couple of days we’re going to a doc-in-a-box and see what’s up. I’m thinking maybe bronchitis, but we’ll see. The good news is she’s cut way back on her smoking. |
Glad to hear you're on the mend!

I had to get on Obombocare when I first retired. It suck big donkey balls. $1,800 a month for me. Only had a choice of one plan. None of my doctors was in that plan. So I had to fine new doctors in that plan to take me. I got on a Christian based health care for $480 a month until I got on Medicare. And because of a little item in Obombocare. I had to pay $48,000 in back taxes.
