At least they are cool with just hanging out, focusing more on what unites us instead of what divides us.

well said sir.

"Jerry Springer, former Cincinnati mayor and talk show host, dead at 79."

Wow, didn't realize he was a mayor.

Went to a Springer show taping and a WWF match broke out! :rofl2::rofl2:

Any of you other old farts remember The Morton Downey Jr. Show? That show was so bad I had to take a shower after watching 10 minutes of it…

He pulled a Jussie Smolett (Waaaaaay before that racist clown) and claimed to have been beaten up “Nazi’s”. They even put a swastika on his forehead! Except the swastika was backwards. Kind of like happens when you draw on your face in a mirror.:inoutroflpuke::tup::hello::tiphat:

His ratings and credibility went down faster than Headboard Harris on Willie Brown.

Very alive and doing great… I have even been featured now in two different medical publications. The Docs are surprised at how well I am.

Other than being “totally tubular” and sounding a little deranged when I speak, I am better than I was for the last 30 years

😎👍

https://en.paperblog.com/congratulat...0s-80s-318129/

"CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE KIDS WHO WERE BORN in the ’60s ’70s & ’80s

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a tin and didn’t get tested for diabetes.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitch-hiking .

As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags. Riding in the back of a van – loose – was always great fun.We drank water from the garden hosepipe and NOT from a bottle. We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this. We ate cakes, white bread and real butter and drank pop with sugar in it,but we weren’t overweight because……WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!In the summer we would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.
No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K
We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem .

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo’s, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 99 channels on cable, no video tape movies, no surround sound, no cell phones, no text messaging, no personal computers, no Internet or Internet chat rooms……….WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We played with worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.

Made up games with sticks and tennis balls and although we were told it would happen, we did not poke out any eyes.We rode bikes or walked to a friend’s house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just yelled for them!
Local teams had try-outs and not everyone made the team. Those who didn’t had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever!"

Been to the dealership twice this week for a new tire for the Rouge. 2nd time there has been absolutely no one looking in the showroom. The place is a ghost town. I was waiting for a piece of tumble weed to blow through...

Since I had some time to kill I starting window shopping. These clowns are still charging a "market adjustment" of 3 to $6000. A pathfinder with a sticker of $45,000 was going for $51,000!

A maxima was going for $50,000!

I asked what they'd take for the maxima. Best out the door price. Hey told me $49,500.

These dealers are putting themselves out of business. Greed kills!

The market has abruptly shifted in terms of cost, price, and the value of money, and COVID was a major factor in addition to inflation. Before COVID, the pricing norm went up slowly and incrementally compared to what happened in the past couple of years. $1 say 3 years ago is probably equivalent to close to $.60 to $.70 today, whereas this kind of shift 20 years ago took more time. Maxima's in the $50K range is unfortunately the new norm. Who would have thought the base Z would start close to $70K? :gtfo2:
