I read the book when I was bored at the plant. :rofl2:

Oh yeah, grateful for the job security, just a little fried mentally.

I'm sure you read it before I did, I only picked it up maybe 3 years ago? Anyone, really enjoyed it.

All this talk about 'EMP' has me thinking I need to double check my 'get home bag'. It's a good 10 miles or so to get from work to home, and that's via the road. I'm thinking it's probably closer to 15 by the time I avoid the roadways...:icon14:

Is that similar to a Bug Out Kit?

Similar. The 'bug-out bag' usually has enough stuff for 3-5 days, the 'get home bag' is what you would need to get from work to home, to get the rest of your stuff. If you live a considerable distance from work, then your 'get home bag' might have the exact same stuff as your 'bug-out bag'. An hour drive to work might mean you need enough stuff for a 3-5 day trip. YMMV :tiphat:

For a "Get Home Bag". I use a Camelback Mule pack. You're seen what I have in it. It's good for a few days.

My "Bug Out Bag" has enough for 2 weeks.
