You know, for all our problems, short comings, and challenges that lie ahead, this is still the greatest country on the planet. The idea of a country created specifically around the goal of individual citizens’ liberty and self determination is pretty incredible still. A land unburdened by a long history of traditional values and thinking where innovation can flourish and we are free to live our lives and speak our minds w/o fear of gov’t reprisal (within reason, obvi can’t go around threatening folks etc).

Let’s try and remember that despite all our differences, at the end of the day we’re all on the same team and fundamentally we all are wanting the same thing, the right to life, liberty and the persuit of happiness.
