Speaking of which, now is the time where I am starting to see a slow down and drop off from new year resolutions. Now it's just the regular's with a few spring breakers in the mix.

Spring breakers :gtfo2::gtfo2::gtfo2::gtfo2:

Anyone serious about actually Training, not just working out needs a home gym since there are very few actual real gyms left now.

Hint: if you’re gym doesn’t allow chalk, have multiple power racks, real barbells ie Texas power bars, Oly bars, platforms, then it’s not a real gym, it’s a fitness center.

Oh, and no mirrors in the weight room.

From loud music late into the night to sh!t all over the beach sand to getting a 2nd hand contact high from all the weed, I don't think the golden rule applies here. There was even a time when someone thought it was okay to park inside my garage (needless to say, I closed the door and had that sh!t towed with a few customizations).

I mean I did some stupid sh!t in college and spring break, but not to the degree of this dysfunctional generation.

The eye candy is great, but aside from the temporary boost and motivation I get for the gym, I step back and think about how many STD's she has.

Most of humanity is worthless trash. I judge people based on what contributions they’ve made to our society/community and how they treat other people. If either or both of those are no beuno, then they’re just taking up space.

Starting with the Millennials is when the internet age started. I'm part of the earlier of the Millennials gen, and growing up, cell phones, internet, and social media wasn't available until way later (I was a sophomore in college when TheFaceBook initially came out). At that time, society wasn't so sensitive about everything either and if we f*cked up or acted out as kids, we got beaten with a belt and whatever object was close by. We also enjoyed playing outside. We also had to work for and earn things, much like the earlier generations.

Look at society now. You so much as look at your kid the wrong way and DCF gets involved. Parents can't discipline their children as needed and/or appropriately and kids feel like the king of the world with their arrogance and entitlement. Growing up with this mentality and reproducing with the same, if not worse, mentality is making for one F*CKED up society now.

It’s ironic that the younger generations complain so much about bullying and “micro aggressions” and as these things have gotten worse, society at the same time has gotten softer and doesn’t allow physical violence.

There are times when violence is the correct answer, but since our society tells folks violence is never the answer, younger people don’t know how to cope and when violence does happen, it always will we are violent by nature, it comes out in incorrect ways like mass shootings.

Young men especially need to fight to get out that aggression and competitive nature that is inside everyone. If you’re getting bullied at school, try to walk away, use your words to give sh1t back to your bully. If all that fails, beat the sh1t outta him, or at least try and go down swinging. It builds resilience and character.

If I went to my dad growing up and complained about being bullied, he would have beat my a$$ and told me to man up and stand up for myself. There’s not enough of that nowadays.

Back in HS, kids used to get in knock down drag out real fights where someone might get knocked out or loose teeth, broken nose etc, the teachers and administrators didn’t care, they knew teenagers needed to get that sh1t out that way or it bottles up and then you get columbine. They’d only intervene if it was about to go to far and someone might end up in the hospital. But I can’t remember it ever getting that bad bc folks knew when they won, or lost as the case may be. No suspension or police, maybe detention if they were caught.

Now, if you beat the sh1t out of your bully, you get in as much or more trouble than the bully. :icon14:

Now, when these people become adults and get firearms, why are we surprised there so many shootings, folks haven’t learned resilience life skills, non lethal violent conflict resolution and like I said, humans are naturally violent predators so if our pack (society) doesn’t teach the young correct outlets for rage etc, we can’t be surprised when everyone is shooting everyone over dumb sh1t. It’s a sign of weakness, both personally and as a reflection of our emasculated society.

A man resolves conflict directly, women tend to brood and stew and then get revenge in subtle ways over time and surprisingly.

When a man stews about a perceived affront and then goes on a surprise spree killing, he is a coward and acting in a femine way to resolve his problem. BUT, since he’s still a man, he acts violently.

I guess it depends on one's goals. While I want to get bigger, I'm not training to be Mr. Olympia lol. I hit up Crunch Fitness and whether this is a gym or fitness center, it's functional for what I need.

I 100000% agree with you on the mirrors. I understand to a certain degree if you are wanting to ensure good posture, but the majority of people that workout in front of mirrors seem to be for self-delusional purposes.

:iagree:

Not everyone gets the same treatment from me. Some people will tell you that I'm the nicest person and always willing to lend a hand. Others will tell you that I'm a complete @$$hole.

My response: Believe them both, as I act accordingly.
