To each their own. I've seen one at a dealership and I tried to like it, but it's just not my cup of tea. It just seems like Nissan's 11th hour last ditch effort on trying to come out with something just to come out with something. Throwing sh!t on the wall to see if it sticks.

Raising rates is only half the battle to fighting inflation, and continuing to raising rates at this stage of the game won't do anything! Fix the global supply chain issue and and leave rates where they are.

https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/07/inves...ing/index.html

There’s another issue below the surface here vis a vis supply chain shortages. If we are truly serious about on shoring production and manufacturing then we are in for a very expensive and higher inflation decade since it’ll take that long to spin up raw material production and manufacturing facilities and train/get workers. And American labor production costs means higher prices for both raw materials and labor— which is inflationary.

Globalization is deflationary as seen over the last 2 decades.
DEglobilization is by definition Inflationary. We seeing this now too.

You can’t go made in America and also have cheap prices and labor.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist either, but when our “leaders” tell us inflation is only 8% when food is up almost 40% and gas is up 50%, you have to call BS.

These clowns are purposely working to kill the Middle Class. They want two classes. The very rich (them) and the poor (the rest of us)

In other words, Socialism/Communism.

To be fair, and I’m not necessarily disagreeing with you, just playing Devil’s advocate/different way to look at the world…

When in the last 10,000 years has there ever really been a middle class?

Since at least 5,000 BC when the first advanced civilization arose in Sumeria/Babylon, there have been a small group of elites and a large group of worker bees, and then below them, an enslaved class.

The Athenians tried to create “democracy”, but they still had this same power structure to include slaves even.

The Romans for their first 500 years or so had a representative republic but again, same power structure. No change when they moved to empire.

The medieval period in Europe, again, same ****.

Feudal Japan, Chinese empire, Aztecs, Maya, same ****.

The rise of the scientific revolution and later industrial revolution created first the idea of human dignity and self determination and by extension social mobility and the mechanization of industry created better paying and more variety of jobs ergo— the creation of a middle class.

We now assume having a large middle class is normally but by historical standards it is not.

As we move from a post industrial society into an information based society, the billion dollar ? is if a middle class can even really exist at all.

My answe is no. There will be a small middle class made up of folks like financial services and middle management types who serve the 1% owners of all things and information. There will be a large working class to well, work as we slowly automate them out of existence, there will need to be large military and law enforcement to keep the world in compliance- those are mostly working class with some upper levels reaching that smaller middle class.

The vast majority of people will be poor because quite frankly, people are becoming useless in this technological corporateocracy.

Now, knowing this is how the world has always worked and now we are reverting back to imo, a natural social state, what do you do?

Easy, do what the 1% does, invest, etc and thereby put you and your family/progeny in a position to be part of the shrinking middle/upper middle class.

No animal species that is naturally a predator, and humans are the worlds A #1 predatory species, is a kind, democratic every animal gets an equal opportunity in the pack group.

I’ve got more but I’m hungry and it’s dinner time.
