My first real job right out of college was in law enforcement with the local sheriff's office, and recently thought about going back, though I'm sure LEO's deal with alot more BS now compared to back in 2007.

Day 31 in the new job hunt.

in regards to job hunting, think outside the box.. there's a lot of jobs out there, unfortunately most dont pay well, especially for the cost of living down here.

dude, you constantly have to shop around, i literally bounce between companies it seems.. but i also track what my premiums are every 6 months.. you gotta shop around.

You should talk to USAA. I pay about $140 per month for 2 cars, full coverage on the Z and liability only on the Civic. I forget the exact break out, but it's about $100 on the Z and $40 for the Civic.

I'll prob. go into a different network within the real estate industry that is salary rather than commission. Thanks to COVID, I was able to pay off most of my debt over the past 2 years, and looking for something steady. Being 100% commission can be lucrative, but not knowing what my next paycheck will look like can take a toll and want to transition away from this.

I thought USAA members have to be current/former military?

this is true unless things have changed... bottom line is to shop around, shop around often.

I did and the bonus, there not in my garage, which is the major bonus.
Also they were near the Chateau Morrisette (https://www.thedogs.com/), discovered a couple wines I like, so stopped by and picked some up.

Umm....really? I can somewhat see the intention behind this, but not allowing my dog to stick his head out the car window even after being secured with a pet seat belt? Absolutely asinine. We have local inflation, housing crisis, and many many other issues, but yeah sure, let's put this one to the top of the list.

Fellas, I threw a nice BBQ for a couple of my coworkers and a couple neighbors.. it was a complete success, the food was amazing (burgers and bratwursts) and cold beer.. we had a great time!
