dude, i've never heard of an insurance company requiring you to bring your car in for an inspection, especially in our state.. me personally, i wouldnt worry about that not even a tad bit.

When I first switched to Geico, they required a vehicle inspection and had to go to a local Enterprise Rent-A-Car for them to look at it and for them send a form back to Geico.

Who's your carrier? I just did a few quotes, and Geico seems to still be the cheapest. I'm debating on even lowering my coverage limits.

i've literally bounced around from state farm, to geico, to progressive, back to geico, and now with progressive again. Always keeping track of the premiums.

I think this is every Friday for 99.99% of the population. Whoever said "you fight fire with fire" was absolutely wrong. You fight fire with water - if someone is a d!ck to me, I'll be a bigger d!ck back and ensure they feel/look stupid.

Went on 7 Zoom interviews within the past 3 weeks - 3 with Company A and 4 with Company B, with 2 of them being back to back within minutes of each other.

Got 2 rejay emails today. Why any company would want to waste time, more importantly mine, with additional interviews if they were not going to move forward with me is beyond me. Company B at least had the balls to send me a personalized email stating that I was "overqualified", which was also brought up in the 2nd interview. I guess they're looking for someone that barely qualifies and hopes that employee can deliver.

Back to the drawing board :ughdance:

Yup, not just geico, I think anytime we’ve switched ins companies, they wanted to see the cars the first time. Iirc, just at their office not like at a rentacar place tho.

We’ve been with our (major carrier) for many many years and all our **** is bundled. Not worth the possible pennies saved for 6 months to go Thu the trouble of constantly swapping. There’re all expensive so just go with the one that offers the best coverage.

Have you seen the news, 90% of accidents in CFLA are hit and runs, plus massive amounts of flooding claims from Ian last year, that plus inflation is driving it.

Did you ever get to the point of salary negotiations? Overqualified means they’re worried they’ll have to pay you more starting out and you’ll expect bigger raises sooner. Barely qualified means lower starting salary, less likely to push for raises faster and more likely to stick around longer and not jump ship for something better sooner.

Good luck man.

This is the sh!t that really boils my blood. I pay close to $4K/annual for car insurance and if I don't cause any issues, give some of that back to me, or don't raise my sh!t at the very least. Car insurance is the biggest scam in the history of the world, and should be eligible for a tax deduction.

People shouldn't have to foot the bill for natural disasters. EFF YOU BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY! EFF YOU WARREN BUFFETT!

Long story short, I've always been in the real estate industry, but in different networks, and looking to go back into a previous network. We did talk about salary expectations and I informed that I am open to negotiations. They gave me a range and told them the high end of that range, so it wasn't anything crazy. They kept harping on what I currently make, to which I informed that I am 100% commission, and looking for something steady even if it's lower than what I am making.
