So now that it's "signing day", are you going to share with us just what this Italian-ish V6 Turbo is wrapped in?

What's your source for this? Based on what I could find, we get nowhere close to 1/3rd of our oil from Russia.

Thank you, Josh. We get nearly 2/3 of our imported oil from Canada, and considering we get more from Mexico and Saudi Arabia than Russia, it is not mathematically possible for us to get 1/3 from Russia.

After looking at the numbers, it becomes clear how rash and erroneous that claim is. According to the EIA 2020 data, Russia makes up 6% of the Top 10 countries we use to import oil.

While it is true that the number of barrels from Russia increased 50% between 2020 and 2021, it is patently false that we ever came remotely close to sourcing 1/3 of our oil imports from Russia. And what a terrible thought to think that we would ever rely that much on Russia for anything :eekdance:

The one I read earlier said 1/3. Now I read it's like 550,000 barrels a day. :icon14: Gov't mis-information. :icon14:

We still are the #1 producer of crude oil, follow by Russia and Saudi Arabia

Zingston 02-28-2022 12:21 PM

Regardless of the %'age of oil we're importing from Russia, the real question is WHY ARE WE IMPORTING ANY OIL FROM RUSSIA? We have more than enough oil within our own borders to satisfy our own consumption! Sending those dollars (any dollars) to a country like Russia should be considered criminal, at best!

Was that an article on a government website or just another media outlet presenting their own "facts"?
