We're going to try and avoid insurance if possible. Taking it to a high end body shop in the morning. I told him I could help out of he takes responsibility - I literally have a hood ready to install.

It could have been much worse. His hitch was huge. Missed the Z completely. He was angling to back into another lane so his back driver bumper got me. I have audio of his confession along with a witness present. And more pics later. I'm hopeful but cautious.

Sorry to hear that James! Messed up situation for sure!

Damn, that’s terrible, at least you weren’t hurt. You have more faith in humanity than I do, I would have done police report/insurance claim route personally, that’s just too much damage to take on some stranger’s word they’ll do right by you.

Then again, I live in the hit and run capital of the world, so it would have had to have been an insurance claim. Course with hd steel bumpers on both our Jeeps, **** like this tends to go very poorly for the other guy. :icon17:

Jar, you need a big a$$ Jeep dude. That 392 hemi is calling your name. :driving::driving:

I need to win the lottery. :(.

So many vehicles I’d love to add to the stable. And I’d love to get a bigger stable to house them all. :icon17:

I know... I must be a sucker, right? :icon14:

I was honestly worried he did it on purpose to file an insurance claim against me. But he said all the right things. And I hate insurance companies. Plus I might be able to get my vented hood installed at no cost to me lol.

I am seriously considering just buying a company truck although I don't want the car payment.

:iagree: with Fl 4 on this one. I just hope that he does not screw you on this buddy. Hopefully there will never be a next time but it happens again, Always call the Police and file a report. Regardless how nice the person is. I will talk to you later on.
