I honestly dont care WHY it failed. It wasnt a particle coming through the filter or bad installation- JC probably better not read that part lol.
The fact they said eat a bag of dicks when I reached out to them is what pissed me off and the fact Sasha didnt bother to at least say let me check into it. No messages, no calls, no emails or texts. Then he is buying turbos and had called them 3 times ect ect. Uh, how about clue me into this ****? Wouldnt have spent another $3k+ to fix the issue.

The whole "I'm buying you a turbo out of pocket" is a last ditch effort to save face and nothing more. He knows he dropped the ball and is now, after doing nothing for months until it was public, taking action.

Did you get a Precision turbo this time? I saw your pictures, it was a bearing failure. Not a FOD issue.

he has just posted a video showing where it caught as you spun it. it would spin fine a few rotations then catch. it was very obvious it was a bearing failure. Sash is spewing BS about something getting through the filter or that Joby installed it wrong

Followed you and Al's advice and got the 1.32 AR unit through Elmo, big thanks again. Now I gotta bug Charles for the oil pans to be finished up.

With Elliott. Greased turbo's have always been a money maker on repairs. After the 2nd failure. The customer usual tossed it in the scrap pile and had us install a water cooled, oil fed unit. Repairs were between $70,000 to $140,000 per unit. Depending on size and location if we did it in the field or in the shop. Nothing like spending a week at sea on a Coast Guard cutter in Feb, Stationed out of Maine.

Absolutely! Good looking out. I ordered the CJM pan a while back and he was waiting on some materials to come in. He warned me before hand that it was gonna be a while.
