That decision affected 4 people, everyone else still has to sue the FBI to get their stuff back. :shakes head::shakes head::shakes head:

That is a NO, that decision sets the precedent for all the other people. That was in the video.

Yes, it sets a precedent, but it didn't automatically resolve the situation for the rest of the folks. They still have to file suit to get their stuff returned. My bet is that the FBI doesn't return the cash, but gives them a government check so that the funds can be tracked. Unfortunately, the FBI has become politically motivated, not exactly what was envisioned when it was created. J Edgar has to be spinning in his grave...:icon14:

It should in my book.

I agree, but unfortunately, common sense is not very common any more. The FBI screwed up when they seized everyone's assets illegally. Given the current climate, it is doubtful that the FBI would admit that they made a mistake, they are going to stick with the 'we didn't do anything wrong' bs, until a court tells them otherwise. :shakes head:

J Edgar Hoover was basically a monument to what happens when your power is unchecked... I doubt he'd be very disappointed by the current state of things, except that he's not the one running it.

Yeah, J Edgar had his fingers in a lot of things, most of which were highly unethical. The original premise behind the FBI was that they were 'supposed' to be honest and above board, but we know how that went... right out the window. :icon14:

The perfect example of 'absolute power corrupts absolutely'

He'd also be disappointed how badly hiring standards have slipped... :stirthepot:

Much like the police, I'm sure there are some that are bad eggs. But also like the police, some are good people trying to do a good job.

Yeap, Some are great people who care. Some are just dirtbags. We only hear about the dirtbags.

Agreed. I guess it's a good thing I never got hired by the FBI, I'd have probably been kicked out for speaking out about the low-life crap they pull. That and I found out 3 months before my 38th birthday that the cut off was 38. :rofl2:

My Z is officially sold boys and girls. I sold it to a kid who has a 350z, lives in Sarasota. It couldn't have gone to a better person! Congrats to him.
