Probably a little bit of both. I suspect it has something to do with some states requiring testing/quarantining after traveling, along with warnings that the local PD wasn't going to be particularly nice to people. Who knows? All we know for certain is that reservations fell off the cliff. :/

i didnt have to test or quarantine in october when we went down so i highly doubt thats a thing now.

also, i think the local PD comments were aimed to just quelle the rowdier younger crowd to help mitigate any issues. like the people riding around at 4 am since our cars typically are not the quietest vehicles and some people live in this place full time.

i barely saw any cops down there.

edir: per the NC.gov website "There are no travel restrictions in place for North Carolina, and visitors do not have to quarantine upon arrival."
