Cold, cool, composure equals confidence and competence. Your demeanor in those situations can speak louder than the words you speak and add significant impact to those same words. Nice job!

You would be better off with a whole-home generator with automatic turn-on & shut off. It runs on natural gas and the best ones are made by Generac.

Well Happy Friday! We have made it through another week. It is payday and so now it is time to funnel money to its rightful owners lol. Getting my second COVID shot today and hoping my reaction is mild. I think this will be my last report on the nonprogress of the Z as it seems that all the forces of nature are working against me. Exchange emails with Seb a couple of days ago and he told me that he is more overloaded than ever. His righthand man and mechanic has quit and is moving to New Mexico so he is double stacked with work. I can't fcking believe it. No his fault or the other shops fault but I cannot believe my timing. It is so damn painful to see people start and finish builds and I am still hanging in fcking limbo some 27 months now. There is nothing I can do but stew in my frustration waiting on the paint to dry, water to boil and grass to grow. Three track seasons down the drain. Oh well off to the salt mine. Yawl have a better day and stay safe and sanitary.

That sucks, Bob. I wouldn't be surprised if Specialty Z & Fast Intentions pulled up stakes and moved to Arizona or New Mexico, the business climate in Cali is circling the drain. Good people are going to quit jobs in Cali and move some place where they have a hope of buying a decent home. You can't get a decent home in some parts of Cali without spending well over 500k and the 500k homes need 200k in renovations to make them livable and up to code. :eekdance:

I'll keep my fingers crossed that Seb will work miracles and get you back on the track soon.

In So Cal, 500k will get you a house in an area where you'll need bars on all your windows and you'll hear gunshots night and day. In my area, teardowns are going for 1.5 to 2 million. Tony at FI is settled into his house, I don't think he'll be moving anytime soon even though he's pretty fed up with California

Na, I was in the Vette. I don't like driving the Z long distances. I have too much invested.

Yep, I know even a couple of years ago he told me he was thinking about moving someplace else as he was growing tiered of SoCal and the expense and pace of things. Seb sounded pretty devastated about it in his email. He said he has been really stressed out over it all. I think the work is one thing but he and LJ were super close and he loss Johnathan back in September as well so his world has been rocked in a major way.

That sucks to hear. I was hoping their ad was for another mechanic in addition to LJ. LJ was a great guy, sorry to hear he left. My car is scheduled for the end of May, early June for the motor swap and tt install. I'll have to touch base with Seb and see if he want's me to take some pressure off of him and have my other shop do the install instead although Seb told me he would like to do the tt install.
