We feed our pup acana dog food, it’s one of the better brands. We stick with single protein varieties now since he’s a senior pup and he needs a lower protein diet.

Iirc, it’s a Canadian brand, or maybe that was origin, we used to feed him that, also excellent.

My hope is that we can move away from so much polarization/tribalization and Congress actually start working for us. What has happened to "We the people, for the people and by the people."

PREACH!

I didn’t sacrifice my physical and mental health for this country just to see us devolve into this.

We need to start treating each other with at least a basic level of decency and respect.

We also need to realize that we still have more in common than not, even the most opposite people still want the same things, but have different ideas on how to achieve it, that shouldn’t mean we hate each other and dehumanize each other, we need to listen and try to find common ground.

Both capitalism and democratic Republic can work, but educated citizens/consumers is required.

Democracy takes effort, it’s a lot easier to just give up critical thinking and reason and blindly follow the (not so) “great leader”. It’s actually very seductive when someone tells you nothing is your fault, your shortcomings in life are “their” fault and offer childishly simple solutions to complex problems.

Consumers need to be less trusting of companies and we need regulatory environment that holds them accountable to truth in marketing and safe products. Being an educated consumer takes effort too.

Capitalism as we live it today is really not real capitalism, it’s most like the not so guilded age from around 100 years ago, too much wealth concentrated in very few hands which then tip the scales to work in their favor to the detriment of all others, legally, regulatory, politically etc.

And those with that concentrated power are now trying silence and remove people from their platforms, lives, banks, jobs, hosting sites, etc. 1984

Even those from diverse backgrounds that have been able to find success struggle with being inclusive once they have got theirs. We will not move forward as long as we think that all we need to do is eliminate those that don't believe or think the same way "we do!" If we just get rid of them all will be okay. No where in the history of man has this worked. As the saying goes, "We have found the enemy and the enemy is us!"

It’s not a zero sum game. As long as, and I’m calling out the right on this one, one side keeps screaming that “your personal and financial failure is due to ‘them’”, and complaining about change and how our “culture” is changing and that’s so terrible, we’re never going to get anywhere.

Change is good if we’re involved and flow with the changes, progress waits for no man, to fight progress always ends up in blood and failure. Better to try to ensure some of what you value survives the changes.

Also, it’s laughable to talk about American “culture “, our culture is the culture of no culture or to put it another way, all cultures mashed together. Unless your a Native American, then you can bitch, but even then, different tribes had different cultures and languages too.

What is an American? This question is what is driving all this division in this country. Historically, white straight Christian male was what was the quintessential American template. That is changing rapidly now and it’s about damn time. ALL Americans should equally be able to access our inalienable right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

The ALM group were spitting on the BLM people, who had peacefully assembled, and had a permit. They were screaming profanity, calling them N*rs, and generally being as disrespectful as possible.

Stopping the violence were the police. So we had good police, bad ALM, good BLM people here. I recognize this is anecdotal evidence, I'm just relating my experience.

Same here.

Compromise is not a dirty word, it means our system is functioning. If you’re an optimist, then your somewhat satisfied, if you’re a pessimist, then you’re somewhat dissatisfied. Both are exactly the same thing.

Ironically, when we, and I’ve been guilty of this too, say both parties are the same and nothing gets done, it used to mean it seemed that way bc there isn’t much difference between moderate Dems and moderate Republicans. I/we used to complain about not having real choices.

Well now we do and the choices suck worse than the previous option. Politicians realized moving further into their respective sides gets people ginned up and turns out the vote, sadly, the end result is what we have now where either side views the other as not really Americans, and compromise is illogical when your political opponents are viewed as enemies and every election and every issue is literally life and death. How can we be surprised when we get what we get.

Sell that albatross around your neck, aka motor home, and get you some Jeepy goodness. :yum:

PS- I guess the old adage about boat ownership also applies to motor home ownership eh?

The 2 best days of owning a motorhome. The day you buy it. And the day you sell it. :icon14:

Get ready to having no chickens to eat. There is a new bird virus going around. It's call H5N8 bird flu. It's in China and Eastern Europe for now. :icon14:

Also get ready for a soy bean shortage. China is buying everything up. Because of the Wu flu and the floods there. Their crops failed. :icon14:

Don't worry about China buying everything up. The incoming administration will be giving China anything they want.
