Seb called today. Supercharger got sent to vortech today (yea). Bad news is, Specialty Z will be shutting down for the holidays Wednesday of next week until after the first of the year. I told Seb I wanted to get my spare Ti trim volute and impeller back from vortech in case I decide to build my spare motor and then I could convert the blower back to the Ti spec. He said, you mean add FI tt's. He loves to fuk with me about going tt. But he's probably right, if I pulled the motor, why not throw turbos on it. It's not like I don't already have the fuel system to support them.

Funny, I have been using Seb for a couple years now. Even on holidays, I remember getting an updated tune on a couple occasions. He is a machine. This year, i got a tune on July 4th at like 11pm. Guy is on my hero list... LOL!

In my case, my car's there. They won't be there during the holidays. But yes, Seb is the man.

Unless you go to the Cog setup, it does slip for sure. I was able to top up 12psi with a smaller pulley, but I've already had to tighten the high speed side a few times. Only a matter of time before it starts shredding.

Not true. My car was making 17 psi with no belt slip. The only time my blower shredded a belt was when I tried 928's sure grip pulley and that thing was so rough, it destroyed a belt in less than a week. Never had belt issues since going back to the vortech pulleys. Also, never had to do follow up belt adjustments.

Oh nice, then maybe I didn't tighten it up enough the first few times... or just normal stretching? I have not put many miles on the original high speed belt... maybe at most 6K miles in 3 years.

Are you using the rpm belt?

Maybe soon I can start on my 1975 280zt build. This is the only body kit I like. I am not sure if I will stick with the L28, go RB26, or do an LSX.

Belt slip is an easy fix, never had problems with belt shredding (except when I tried a 928 sure grip pulley) and the only time mine didn't work right is because I'm doing things that haven't been done and it's a learning process. Even Seb said he's far from a supercharger expert and has learned a lot from my builds. And my supercharger hasn't blown any motors (yet) LMAO.

I'd make a joke ab your belt slipping every time you see a banana hammock at the beach, but Trips said we need to clean up the OT thread after EW's ***-gasm last week...
