Racedeck is questionable. It's much less comfortable than concrete if you're kneeling or on your back in the garage.

Zoren knows, he's been servicing guys in his garage for years...

Prayers!

Any recommendations? The concrete here isnt worth refinishing and epoxy just seems like a disaster waiting to happen.

Maybe more of a ZS-Carp question. If you're going to do epoxy I want a livestream.

Tear it out and pour new? I'm not much help past that. There are tons of options but most look like a pain to clean or they are way to slick.

The epoxy finish in the one garage had to have the chips in it for grip. Its not terrible in the winter like the bare concrete is when it gets wet/icy. I am not a fan of the look though, maybe a lighter color would have been nice. It does clean up really fast with the power washer and a 15" surface cleaner.

I wanted to redo my garage floor when I did my kitchen a few years ago. But I couldn't find an acceptable surface that I felt would stand the test of time. I now see they finally came out with a grip surface mix that doesn't sparkle and stand out like glitter. It's like tiny glass or clear beads or something. Gives the texture without the ugly aesthetics.

If it's finished right it won't be slick when wet...but it doesn't look as nice as a machined finish that is slick as ice when wet. You can't tell builders or homeowners anything though. They say burn it in so it shiny you burn it with a trowel machine until it shines

A proper finish on a new pour looks good and provides grip. That really is the best way.

I was thinking something nice and plush for that extra bit of comfort when working under the car.
