My drive is ~560 ft long. I aint shoveling or snow throwing that for any reason.

I have rules for the driveway also. You may visit if you want but if you get stuck, slide off the driveway or get no traction going up the hill either way, I aint helping. I'll call a tow truck and watch out the window with a cup of hot cocoa.

I no longer salt, shovel, push, pull or anything else to get a car unstuck. I usually have UPS and delivery people drop stuff off at my neighbors house. It can be a bitch to get up the thing in winter.

I'm cool with the snow throwing. I shoveled my driveway exactly 1x when I first moved in. Told Megan never again. It was thick wet snow and took hours. Being set back from the road sounds so good in theory.

Yep. The plow service comes out when it is 1" or more.

I got an antique 2 stroke Snapper snowblower that was my dad's. It's got to be 40 yrs old. I've replaced the the rubber blade wipers twice, the belt 3 times, and the spark plug about 4 times. The thing just won't die.
