Ahh try to laugh it off. As long as there was no damage to your car. Same thing happen to me at a shopping center. I parked FAAAAARRR away and someone in a Sequoia had to park next to me. But..he left some space and I just assumed that he wanted to park there to admire the car a bit.
No harm...no foul. At least he didn't park on your driver side and leave you like 2 inches of space. |

I don't see how that's being an *******. For one, he gave you plenty of room (even with you being parked off-center). Second, the lot could have been busier earlier in the day when he came and parked.
Did you reach underneath the car and feel for heat radiating from the engine block by any chance? You know, just to get a feel for how long he was parked...

to answer the questions, no nothing was wrong with the car. And no, the store was not busy. I work overnight 12 am to 8 am. the rest of the plaza is closed, and even business in our store is VERY slow at that time. the parking lot is always this empty and stays like that till 9 or 10 am. in fact most other days the lot is usually even emptier than what the pics show.
no that car wasn't parked there for too long. it's not one of the employees. might have been a customer though i'm not too sure. the part about him being an *** is not that he didn't leave a sufficient gap between our cars, but rather that he just had to park right beside me when he had so much room and such an empty parking lot. in fact he parked in the middle of the lot. whatever his destination was, as you can see in the pics there were many spaces available much closer to wherever he was going. in fact that is precisely the reason i park in the middle of the lot, to avoid other cars parking beside me and possibly scratching or denting my car (which is precisely what happened with the dayshift pharmacist's brand new subaru impreza) |

Apparently when you buy a 370Z it doesn't give you special privileges in any public parking lot?It is the risk we all take when parking in a public lot!So be greatful that your car had no dents or scratches!

I was expecting a tirade about how your car got a door ding or something. He parked close by, be thankful the Z hasn't been whacked on the door panel, and move on. lol

It has nothing to do with special privileges. It has everything to do with just being courteous to someone else. No one is going to bitch or complain if someone parks next to you when the lot is full or when it means they can get to the door faster, that's pretty normal. Parking right up next to someone (especially when they have a coupe) when there are other viable options is just a **** move. It has nothing to do with a sense of entitlement or anything. Consider it like opening a door for someone. You don't have to do it, but it is a nice thing to do -- and chances are you are an *** if you just slam a door in someones face. :V

If that Explorer was on the line right next to his Z, sure, I'd be like "what a ****." But he was parked dead center and there was PLENTY of room between his car and the Z, which was not quite centered. No harm done.
